A car was stolen last March in Autauga County from an Elmore County resident. The car is a Mustang with a custom paint job, yellow and black. The name Joseph is on the rear bumper. The tag at the time the car was stolen was BENZE. The car is still allegedly in Autauga County, being in the possession of the mother of the thief. The thief is now allegedly deceased. The thief allegedly was a drug informant for the Autauga County Sheriff as is his mother. The mother refuses to divulge the location of the car to the theft victim, and the Autauga County Sheriff refuses to assist the victim in recovering the car. Maybe the Sheriff is allowing the drug informant to keep the car as a reward for her services. The owner of the car has the title, so it will be impossible for the drug informant mother to sell the car unless she unlawfully obtains a title.
On January 28, 2014 I, along with many others, was stuck on Hwy 82 when the road turned to ice. Your deputies kept us informed as we sat with a truck turns sideways blocking the road. They were extremely helpful and a blessing to me as I waited out the night in my car.
