We used to go to the restaurant in Troy on the way to PCB ever since I was a little girl. Country's BBQ always brings back fond memories of my Papa who took all his children and grandchildren to the beach once a year until he passed away last year. Country's BBQ has never disappointed me, and there is agreat food! I oovd their sweet tea! Their Remington steak is phenomenal, and I'm always craving their chicken tenders.
Awesome place to eat. Love the ribs & the steaks. The sweet tea is yummy as well. Love the atmosphere & staff.
I haven't ate at Country's since the late 80's. It really bright back some great memory's, but the place is ran down.
My wife and I had the fried pickles and onions as an appetizer. We ordered the BBQ tater and a plate with chopped beef and mac n cheese and fried okra as sides. The app and the tater were good, but the chopped beef was on the dry side. Our server was awesome. We'll definitely go back to try the pulled pork.
The ribs were great and I love the pickles, and onions mixed in the barbecue. The corn bread was cold and dry, but had that flavor you only get at country's. I wish I had that recipe.
The first night I moved to Alabama I was 19 year old and didn't know anyone for 900 miles. I ate at country's and loved it! I ordered the same meal I did that night 31 years ago. The conglomeration.
This is my go to place for comfort food. I'm trying to cut back on sugar, but when I'm at Country's I must have their sweet tea! My wife's favorite entree is the smoked sausage. I'd have to say my favorite is the smoked turkey. Their lemon ice box pie is almost as good as Momma used to make - yum!
